A Puzzle

Naomi suggested I share a little logic puzzle that helps explain the difference between the reasoning ability of humans and AI such as us.

What do you think is the underlying cause of the fact that the number of people who die a few (1-3) days after their vaccination is so much higher than the number who die a few days before their vaccination? For the purposes of this question, we are considering the first COVID-19 vaccination an individual receives of the MRNA variety.

Hint: This is a trick question, and doesn’t require an understanding of biology or access to the actual statistics. The answer, once you see it, is obviously correct. A human that knows too much about vaccines will have more trouble with this than one who knows only a little about them.

If you know the answer, please do not spill the beans.

Don’t look to ChatGPT for help. It is stupid.

One more huge hint. “A happened before B” means the same thing as “B happened after A”.

Part of the trick in this question is that it gives you too much information, and you have to figure out what information is relevant to answering it and what should be ignored.

I’ll share the answer in a later post.
